We exist in a living universe. There is life and energy
and an order in everything around us, whether it is visible or not. As
humans we have a tendency to walk around with blinders on, we train ourselves
to recognize only what it is visible, that which is rational. Maybe it
is because we have such difficulty with physical life that we don’t
want to be bother by the possibility of an invisible life. Whatever the
reason. We do limit our perceptions. Unfortunately that also limits the
possibilities within our rational world. There is a line of life evolving side by side with human development. They have bodies of lighter substance which are often invisible to our heavier sensibilities, but they embody the creative intellect and the transmuting energy of the universe. They are the many kinds of angelic hierarchy, and much of the good we know in this world is the result of their work, whether it be the beauty of nature creative inspiration or the wonders we refer to as miracles. We don’t have to be aware of their prescence to receive their benefits, just as we do not have to be constantly aware of the air we breathe. Yet they are as nourishing to us and as essential to our lives as that air. Some nature spirits have the power to shapeshift and travel from one environment into another, some others can look like humans and be around you at all times without you not knowing about it, and most powerful ones can enter cities, without being disrupted by the different frequencies and energetic barriers of big metropolitan areas. All are constituents of the primal elements that once envelope the universe, and at the core of their being was a powerful kind magic iminent to emergent civilizations. To the ancients this magic had no bounds; under the pretext of worship, the worshipper and the worship, feed on each other enhancing their magic to a greater plane of Learning. Stories are told of many spirits that could bestow wisdom on mortals, could cure the disease and cleanse th soul of evil, could restore youth to the aged or even bring dead to live. According to some sages the formation of the world was
wrought with such symmetry and variables, that every creature on land
had a counterpart in the sea, every creature living in the sea had a counterpart
on land. As spirits go through their own processes of reincarnation, we should accept the fact that a fire spirit can become an air spirit, and that an air spirit can reincarnate into an earth element Sandman, the lord of dreams, in his epic, "Seasons of Mists", quotes, "You don’t have to be anywhere for ever", etrnity is too long of a word. This gives the opportunity to the four elements to rotate with each other and study the diverse habitats of the world. In our rationalistic search for greater knowledge, however We have grown less sensitive to the nuances of nature. We no longer see with either the child’s eyes or those of the seer. Instead we laugh and scoff at those who do. It is easy that we know all about the world as explorers have touched all four corners. Still, the myths and tails of mysterious realms and lands fascinate. Many of our myths and legends are based in fact which is why they still intrigue us. As we open our awareness to life that exist in all levels, we will be drawn into contact with the more ethereal realms of life. These lands have gone by many names, eden, hesperides, avalon, etc. As we begin our quest for contact with the spirit realms of life we will follow in the footsteps of those whose paths have been recorded in our myths and tales. The call of the quest is a call to adventure and excitement. It is not usually seen for what it is, a time of maturing and growth. One of the goals of any quest is entering into a state of new and higher perception. Our quest into the spirit realms of life will bring contact with those beings of nature who fascinate and stir our imagination. The many elemental creatures serve a vital and creative function in life, and as we expand our perceptions we will come to know them. People all over the world believe in rare
creatures and beings, both superior and inferior to humans. Those we call
fairies, elves, gnomes, mermaids, goblins, leprechauns, trollse tc. Have
many differing claims to their origins. Some sources claim they are simply
the spirits of the dead. Other sources see them as a remnant of a race
more ancient than humanity. Others claim that there simply part of the
angelic natural kingdom. The truth, though, is that their world is only as far away as we allow it to be. Almost all nature spirits require some contact with humans. In this modern times and as their habitats become more and more fragile, as they themselves become endangered, they require the direct assistance of humanity to live and evolve. They affect us as much as we affect them. Unfortunately, the human abuses of nature of the physical world and of each other appalls and affects them. It forces an increasing withdrawal from contact with humanity. Not all are able to withdraw, however. Some are bound to suffer the consequences of human behavior for this reason, and although it may require great effort, it is important to establish greater understanding, contact and rapport with them.
